COLLEGE ACTIVITIES AND CELEBRATIONS
Hindi Divas (14 September)
Fourteenth September is celebrated every year as Hindi Divas. On this day Hindi language and other Indian languages are honoured and remembered for their importance in Indian culture and education.
The institute celebrates Hindi Divas on 14th September in the form of a Rally. This tradition was started by Acharya Raghunath Bhatt. The rally begins from the college campus and ends at Gujarat Vidyapeeth, a prestigious institute founded by Mahatma Gandhi.
After reaching Gujarat Vidyapeeth, all the participants gather in the auditorium where prayers are conducted and invited dignitaries deliver speeches highlighting the significance of Hindi in the modern era.
Annual Function
The college organizes an Annual Function every year on the campus. On this occasion, a chief guest is invited to motivate students through an inspiring speech.
Students who have performed well in academics, sports and other activities are honoured with prizes, certificates, medals and trophies.
Students also present various cultural programmes such as:
Songs and Bhajans
Group dances
Mimicry and other performances
This programme encourages students to showcase their talent and creativity.
Teacher’s Day
The college celebrates Teacher’s Day every year on 5th September in memory of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
On this day students take the role of teachers and teach their classmates. This activity helps students understand the responsibility and challenges of the teaching profession.
At the end of the programme, the college teachers select the three best student-teachers and honour them with gifts, prizes and certificates.
Cultural Week Celebration
Along with academic learning, the college believes that students should also participate in extra-curricular activities. These activities help students refresh their minds and return to their studies with renewed enthusiasm.
Therefore, the college organizes a Cultural Week every year. During this week various competitions and activities are arranged such as:

Plantation Activity
Reading Competition
Other cultural events
These activities are organized by the committee members including Prof. Vaishalee Dholakia, Dr. Yogesh Rajgor and Prof. Sudhasingh.
Celebration of Youth Day
The college celebrates Youth Day on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
On this occasion, the principal explains the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and inspires students to learn from his teachings.

These competitions are based on the life, ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Celebration of Independence Day and Republic Day
Since its establishment, the college has been celebrating Independence Day (15 August) and Republic Day (26 January) with great enthusiasm.
On these occasions:
Teachers and students gather in the college campus.
The National Flag is hoisted.
Everyone sings the National Anthem together.
Students present patriotic programmes such as patriotic songs, dances and mimicry. After the programme, sweets and tea are distributed among all participants.
World Mother Language Day
The college celebrates World Mother Language Day to promote respect and pride for one’s mother tongue.
On this day the teachers and students celebrate and honour the Gujarati language through various activities such as:
Poetry recitation in Gujarati
Reading of prose passages
Gujarati Antakshari
Students also write postcards to their friends or relatives explaining the importance of their mother tongue and encouraging others to respect and preserve it.
